October was a bit of a rough month overall, where both reading and blogging didn’t feature quite as much as they previously have done. However, I still found a few gems last month, as depicted below.

Animal Farm by George Orwell is an a book I have read many times before and always greatly enjoyed. It is my ambition in life to sneak it in to the Other Halfs TBR pile without him noticing. I reviewed it last month for those interested in a little more detail about this book ( Book Review: Animal Farm, by George Orwell )
The Hundred Year Old Man by Jonas Jonasson was an absolute riot, with the hilariously matter of fact Allan Karlsson as the main character. I started this on Holiday in September and giggled my way through it over a couple of weeks.
This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay was another re-read, and one that I deeply enjoyed. Please see the review here ( Book Review: This Is Going To Hurt, by Adam Kay ). He made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion and I strongly recommend this book on a regular basis.
The Governess by Wendy Holden was a real cosy read which gave me the happy feels when I just wanted to curl up and enjoy a feel good read. Again, please see my review here ( Book Review: The Governess, Wendy Holden )
And finally the fourth Bridgerton book – Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn. I have fallen in love with the frivolity of the Bridgerton Series, and am keeping them for when I feel like indulging in a little silliness and scandal – of which the ton provides plenty!
Do I have a favourite book from October? Hard to say as they all scratch very different itches.
